  • The diaries are good but they use ‘my mum’ and ‘my dad’. If a diary is just written for yourself, you know who your parents are! ‘my’ is superfluous. If a diary is for publication, surely it is a journal?

  • Great resource but in Sample C, ‘practice’ is a verb and thus should be ‘practise’.

    Published books we recommend!

    Charlie Merrick’s Misfits!

Charlie loves football. He watches it, memorizes facts about it, and he’s even the captain of the local youth team, North Star Galaxy.
When Charlie discovers that youth teams are being selected to play in exhibition matches at the World Cup tournament later that year he decides to enter North Star. There’s one problem. He’s got to prove that North Star deserve a place at the tournament and that’s not easy when your team are kind of rubbish at football!

This book takes the form of Charlie’s competition entry for his team to play a warm-up match at the World Cup – it’s crammed with hilarious doodles, true facts, and match reports, and is totally accessible for boys, girls, reluctant readers, and footie-mad kids everywhere!

    Diary of a Wimpy Kid!

The hilarious and original global bestseller Diary of a Wimpy Kid – perfect for readers of 8+ and also reluctant readers, everyone loves the adventures of Greg Heffley.

‘Let me get something straight: this is a JOURNAL, not a diary. This was Mom’s idea, not mine. But if she thinks I’m going to write down my “feelings” in here or whatever, she’s crazy. The only reason I agreed to do this at all is because I figure later on when I’m rich and famous, this book is gonna come in handy.’

An imaginative Diary about life in school with crazy friends and characters. This will get your children giggling and wanting to read on and write more!

    Diary of a Minecraft Zombie!

n the first book of this hilarious Minecraft adventure series, we get to read the diary of an actual 12 year old Minecraft Zombie. Take a peek at what is really going on between the hollow eyes, and dead expression that we normally see when we face the dreaded Zombies of Minecraft.
Are Zombies really different from us? You’ll be surprised at what you discover. So, jump into this Minecraft adventure and find out!.
Diary of a Minecraft Zombie is a must-read for any kid who loves Minecraft. Kids ages 7+ can’t wait to jump into to these Minecraft adventures!
Click on the BOOKs TO GET them ON YOUR CLASS SHELF!
